I’m bummed I missed Artisanal L.A this past weekend and even more bummed I did not get to try I heart pies. How cute is their logo and design!? I’m totally in awe and can’t wait to try some of their pies. It’s refreshing to see people starting sustainable businesses locally and having fun with it.

Parallel Lines introduced their first Savor Los Angeles series last night which featured locals specializing in high quality sweets. The event had a great turnout and was a huge success. The event took place at an amazing gallery space, Miauhaus Studios located in the Miracle Mile of Los Angeles. The selection of participants was outstanding, it was truly the best of the best in L.A. Even the selection of DJs and music was on point. It was an intimate and well organized event which I enjoyed.

The prices will range from $1 to $4 and make sure to bring cash.I also heard that Chef Ludo will be baking a cake for the event. I can’t wait! If anyone wants to tag along with me early, let me know!

It’s more like my to-eat list. In a week I’ll be off to San Francisco for about 3 days. I’m trying to figure out how many places I can visit in such a small amount of time. I’ve done some research and had a few recommendations on places I should try and I have listed them. If I have forgotten anything, please add to the list.

If you’re in L.A, you will know about the recent Food Truck craze going on. There is an increase in gourmet food trucks roaming the Los Angeles area. I personally think it is awesome and want to try every single one. Hopefully they come to the downtown area. The one food truck that I am anticipating on the most is The Buttermilk Truck which hits the streets November 11th. I love breakfast, so a food truck focused on breakfast items made me excited. Once I saw the menu, I knew it was the real deal. Bite size pancakes (red velvet included), french toast sticks, chicken and waffles, cake donuts, buttermilk biscuit breakfast sandwiches, granola and more. What is even better is that it’s mostly fused with Hawaiian. I think this is a great idea and wish I thought of this sooner!
This picture is of the the Hawaiin Bread Breakfast Sliders w/ Portuguese sausage, sautéed onions and shoyu scrambled eggs on Hawaiian bread
Check out more of their menu items here and you can also follow The Buttermilk Truck on Twitter to follow their every destination. Once we get our hands on some of this goodness, Fullybaked will have a review, so stay posted!
