I know that doesn’t look good but I promise once you mix it all together and bake it, you’ll be happier than a drunk at an open bar. Our favorite food holiday is coming near, so what’s on the menu? We want to know what’s on YOUR menu and would like to see some of your favorite holiday recipes. Feel free to submit some or leave a comment on what you’re looking forward to this Thanksgiving. I know I’m looking forward to some Thanksgiving Pizza, pie, pie, pie and hopefully some flan. I’ll post my flan recipe soon! For now here is a fun recipe I came across online. By Ducky – November 13, 2009
When I think Coolio, “Gangster Paradise” comes to mind, not gourmet chef. If your a fan, you would be following his cooking show on YouTube. If you have not viewed his cooking shows, you must, there hilarious. This month his actual cookbook is released, “Cookin’ with Coolio: 5 star meals at 1 start price”. This is a must own cookbook not only for the top-ramen budgeters. How can you pass up learning how to cook “Blasian” and “Ghettalian” from Coolio! Chapters also include “How to Become a Kitchen Pimp” and “Pasta like a Rasta”. This cookbook is a fun book to have laying around the kitchen for a good laugh and maybe even a decent meal. Creating yummy foods and delicious treats is much more enjoyable when you have cool gadgets in the kitchen to help you out. This Lego plastic kitchen scale with tray looks just like a LEGO® minifigure head! Measures in both kilograms and ounces. Stands 17 cm (7”) tall with a 15 cm (6”) wide tray. I’m bummed this is not available in the US, I must get my eBay on! If you’re not the ebaying type, no worries! Lego has many fun and cute accessories to help geek up your kitchen. I have the salt and pepper shakers and fridge magnets. Check the photos after the jump to see my favorites and pick some up here. By Ducky – November 13, 2009
These cakes ain’t either. How awesome are these cakes????? Pure Genius! The Wu logo is probably one of the most recognized hip hop symbols. Here at Fullybaked, Wu-Tang has a special meaning to us, being the hip hop enthusiast we are, so this made us smile.
This cake was made by Yudy, who is from the suburbs of Chicago. I came across her blog and was amazed at her specialty cakes. Make sure to check out the rest of her cakes at YudyCakes! If you’re in the Chicago area, don’t hesitate on ordering from her.
Here is another one brought to you by Cake Coquette in San Francisco. Owner/Baker Gabrielle Feuersinger made this cake especially for GZA.
I found this one anonymously through Cake Central. Got to love the bees! Today also marks 5 years since the death of ODB, Marilyn and I were at Rock the Bells 2004 to see A Tribe Called Quest, when the news of his death was announced. It was a sad day in hip hop. May he RIP. By Ducky – November 11, 2009
If you’re in L.A, you will know about the recent Food Truck craze going on. There is an increase in gourmet food trucks roaming the Los Angeles area. I personally think it is awesome and want to try every single one. Hopefully they come to the downtown area. The one food truck that I am anticipating on the most is The Buttermilk Truck which hits the streets November 11th. I love breakfast, so a food truck focused on breakfast items made me excited. Once I saw the menu, I knew it was the real deal. Bite size pancakes (red velvet included), french toast sticks, chicken and waffles, cake donuts, buttermilk biscuit breakfast sandwiches, granola and more. What is even better is that it’s mostly fused with Hawaiian. I think this is a great idea and wish I thought of this sooner!
Check out more of their menu items here and you can also follow The Buttermilk Truck on Twitter to follow their every destination. Once we get our hands on some of this goodness, Fullybaked will have a review, so stay posted! Hit the jump for the grand opening flyer and location By Marilyn – November 6, 2009
